This is my dad's house on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Apart from selling a wide variety of clivias, he is also offering landscaping services to the aesthetically deprived. He fairly regularly commutes to the North Shore of Australia.

Many years ago before my grandfather died my father would tell me how he worked like a slave labourer to my grandfather, helping him build the rockery at their family house in Arabella Street, Longueville, Sydney. Well his attitude to his father changed over time. Maybe because of this ability to build rockeries which he picked up.

He has since built 3 of them - starting with the original family house in Longueville, 2nd was our family house in North Ryde, then he really excelled with his 2nd house at Pymble. Maybe its because he had more time. The 4th house was his current home on the Central Coast.

If you are interested in his help he can offer hourly consulting and prepared some sketches, and work with your landscaper to help you get the desired look you want. The best approach would be for him to do a site visit. He might even be prepared to travel some distance (as an excuse for a holiday) since he is semi-retired.

Its funny he was never inclined to pass this skill on to his 3 sons. I guess slavery had disappeared by the 1960s. And aborigines were complaining they were only emancipated in the 1970s. Alot of people had it hard growing up - but there stories are very private. It all seems to be about media recognition today. Some people just get on and do the job. Others seek government welfare. I dont which to make a generalised comment about aborigines. They are some incredibly capable and positive ones. This is not intended as a political statement because everyone's personal context is different. I also recognise that the aboriginal people were systematically neglected and that has had to have a more disempowering impact on their lives. Anyway, this is just a tribute to my dad!

Anyway I'd love to here from people who are interested in buying some clivia plants or having some landscaping consulting services. If you think my comments on aborigines are off tact let me know as well. I just drove across central Australia....saw alot of wasted lives. Alot of violence and drug abuse. Will we have another government legacy of doing nothing? Any government minister want consulting services on that problem then I'm your man! Though I wouldn't rush out and throw your money at that problem. There are more constructive ways to help people. My grandfather is deceased so in honour of his memory we are selling off his entire collection of clivias. He has a huge collection in the Central Coast area of New South Wales, Australia.

I will develop this site more fully in time since my dad seems to be getting serious. So if you are after plants of various maturities or seeds, let me know.
He has quite a range. Some of them were purchased from overseas. eg. South African and Japanese varieties. I used to pee in some of them, so I think we have a few more exotic varieties. I used to eat alot of bananas then, but I dont know what high dosages of potassium do for the plants. So that variety is great for families. You can even have the honours in naming the category.

My contact email is: shouganai1@gmail.com.
